The evolution of LW-PLA has really opened up this avenue of model creation ....
I have two printers .... a direct feed Repetier Host machine .... which is OK for general use ... but my preferred machine for 'precision' printing is the Ender 3 Pro which I have modified to Dual Z Drive and Direct Filament feed ....
