Like to keep the forum as simple as possible without a lot of individual boards but we're open to suggestions and setting it up how members think would work best for them.
What ideas and board format suggestions do you have?
Act now and set things up or wait till we reach a certain number of active members?
Anyone know how these forums work as far as adding plug ins, changing the format, do we need more space for photos, things like that?
And message e if you want to be a mod.......

We used to have a spot where we could click on and go to the latest post in a thread.
Not real bad now, but as these threads get longer it would be nice to have that back if possible.

Great idea Dave. Checked the forum settings and there is nothing there to do this. Also checked my personal settings to see if it's an option. Perhaps it's a Plug In. I'll do some research in that area.

Dave there is a plug in that shows the last post first in threads. It's unclear if it does this for all users and threads or if the users have the option of turning it on or off on an individual basis.
What's the consensus? Use one of our 4 remaining keys for the plug ins or skip it?

Many other forums show the latest post first, in fact all the forums I am a part of. Some of the threads on my Goldwing forums get huge. Just like the humor section on Wattflyer1
I didn't know we had a very limited amount of keys to use these plug-ins. so maybe we really need to be very careful about them.
When I looked up plug-ins on Pro-boards, I think there were about 300+ so I didn't try to read every one.
Since this is my first time as a moderator, I will defer and listen to people that have more experiance. I just REALLY like Wattflyer and want to help in anyway I can.

I'm new to having this much control on a forum! Was hoping to hear from others who have been there done that. All we can do is try it and pull it if we don't like what it does. Hoping we would get a consensus of folks who are visiting WF2.

I'll do some research in that area. Don, currently the postings in the threads are in the oldest to newest order. I did not find a way to change this.
I'm interested in an option to show newest to oldest postings instead of having to scroll down to find the newest posts. Other forums I'm a member of all have the option to select the order of postings. The current oldest first is OK for now but as the postings, and then pages, increase it will become a hassle to scroll way down to find what is new.

Looked for a plug in where users had the option of either or but was unable to find one. This one was free so we still have the option for a few more plug in's that you folks want.
